The Board of Directors appointed by the participating churches govern the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet. Participating churches have no more than three representatives on the Board of Directors in addition to supporting the Food Closet through monthly donations of food and/or money. A church may be an Associate church by supporting the Food Closet through donations of food and money, but not choosing to have a representative on the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is responsible for policy development, oversight of operations and the financial integrity of the corporation.

​Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) are elected annually and serve a one year term. Most of the work is performed through committees. A volunteer Operations Manager oversees the day to day operations utilizing daily team leaders.
